Ethicon COATED VICRYL is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated to enhance handling, knot security and smooth tissue glide during soft tissue approximation procedures.

This USP 2-0 violet suture is supplied in a 70 cm (27 inch) length and is armed with a single-armed MHD-1 ETHIGUARD blunt taper point needle measuring 36 mm with a 1/2 circle curvature, designed to provide controlled penetration while reducing the risk of glove perforation and needle-stick injury.

COATED VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 12 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
