Ethicon COATED VICRYL is a sterile, synthetic, absorbable surgical suture composed of polyglactin 910 (90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide). The braided and coated construction enhances handling characteristics, knot security and smooth tissue passage during delicate soft tissue approximation.

This USP 6-0 violet suture is supplied in a 45 cm (18 inch) length and is armed with double-armed S-29 taper point needles measuring 11 mm with a 3/8 circle curvature, designed to provide precise, atraumatic penetration for fine soft tissue and microsurgical closure.

COATED VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 12 for professional hospital and specialist surgical environments.
