Ethicon MONOCRYL PLUS is a synthetic absorbable monofilament surgical suture manufactured from poliglecaprone 25 and coated with triclosan to inhibit bacterial colonisation along the suture line.

This USP 2-0 suture is supplied in a 70 cm length and features an undyed monofilament construction to minimise tissue visibility. It is armed with a single reverse cutting needle measuring 26 mm with a 3/8 circle curvature, engineered to deliver controlled penetration and reliable cutting performance in skin and tougher tissue layers.

MONOCRYL PLUS sutures provide predictable tensile strength retention followed by reliable absorption, making them suitable for tissues requiring short-term wound support. They elicit minimal tissue reaction while maintaining excellent handling and knot security. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 12 for professional surgical environments.
