Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated with an antibacterial agent (triclosan) to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, supporting reduced risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 5-0 undyed suture is supplied in a 45 cm length and is armed with a single-armed 13 mm reverse cutting Prime needle with a 3/8 circle curvature, designed to provide precise penetration and clean incision in skin and firmer soft tissues while maintaining excellent control.

VICRYL PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 36, making it well suited to high-volume hospital and clinical environments.
