Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated with the antibacterial agent triclosan to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, helping reduce the risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 1 violet suture is supplied in a 36 inch (90 cm) length and is armed with a single-armed CTD needle. The CTD taper point needle is designed for smooth passage through soft tissues, supporting controlled penetration, reduced tissue trauma and reliable placement during general and abdominal surgical closure.
