Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a sterile, synthetic, absorbable surgical suture composed of polyglactin 910 and coated with the antibacterial agent triclosan to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, helping reduce the risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 2-0 (metric 3) violet suture is supplied as eight 45 cm strands per unit in a single-armed configuration, designed for secure soft tissue approximation where antibacterial protection and reliable handling are required.

VICRYL PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 12 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
