Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated with an antibacterial agent (triclosan) to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, helping reduce the risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 2-0 violet suture is supplied in a 27 inch (70 cm) length and is armed with a single-armed TE+ (Taper Edge Plus) needle. The Taper Edge Plus needle combines a tapered body with a refined cutting point, enabling controlled tissue penetration with reduced trauma and excellent handling in soft tissue closure.

VICRYL PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 36 for professional hospital and surgical environments.
