Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated with an antibacterial agent (triclosan) to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, helping reduce the risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 2-0 undyed suture is supplied in a 70 cm length and is armed with a single-armed 60 mm straight reverse cutting needle, designed for procedures requiring linear access and direct tissue approach. The straight reverse-cutting geometry allows controlled penetration and excellent handling in skin and firmer soft tissues.

VICRYL PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 36 for professional hospital and surgical environments.
