Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated with an antibacterial agent (triclosan) to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, helping reduce the risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 2-0 violet suture is supplied in a 70 cm length and is armed with a single-armed 70 mm taper point needle with a 1/2 circle curvature, designed for deep soft tissue and abdominal closure where extended reach and controlled, atraumatic penetration are required.

VICRYL PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, producing minimal tissue reaction with predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 12 for specialist or procedure-specific surgical use.
