Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated with an antibacterial agent (triclosan) to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, helping reduce the risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 3-0 undyed suture is supplied in a 27 inch (70 cm) length and is armed with a single-armed MF needle. The MF (Medium Force) needle provides balanced penetration strength and controlled handling, supporting reliable placement during soft tissue closure and general surgical procedures.

VICRYL PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. This product has been discontinued and is no longer available for online purchase.
