Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated with an antibacterial agent (triclosan) to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, helping reduce the risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 1 violet suture is supplied in a 90 cm length and is armed with a single-armed 48 mm taper point needle with a 1/2 circle curvature, providing extended reach and smooth, atraumatic tissue penetration for deep soft tissue and abdominal closure while maintaining excellent control.

VICRYL PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 36 for professional hospital and surgical environments.
