Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated with an antibacterial agent (triclosan) to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, helping reduce the risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 1 violet suture is supplied in a 100 cm length and is armed with a single-armed 80 mm Taper Point needle with a 1/2 circle curvature, designed to facilitate controlled tissue penetration and extended reach for deep or larger surgical fields.

VICRYL PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 12 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
