Ethicon VICRYL PLUS Polyglactin 910 Braided Absorbable Antibacterial Surgical Suture

Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated with an antibacterial agent (triclosan) to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, helping reduce the risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 0 undyed suture is supplied in a 90 cm length and is armed with a single-armed 36 mm Taper Point needle with a 1/2 circle curvature, designed to provide smooth, controlled tissue penetration for general soft tissue and subcutaneous closure where reduced visual contrast is preferred.

VICRYL PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 36 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
