Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated with an antibacterial agent (triclosan) to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, helping reduce the risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 2-0 undyed suture is supplied in a 90 cm length and is armed with a single-armed 36 mm reverse cutting needle with a 1/2 circle curvature, designed to deliver controlled penetration and clean incision in skin and firmer soft tissues where strength and precision are required.

VICRYL PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 36 for high-volume hospital and surgical environments.
