Ethicon VICRYL is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910, designed to provide dependable wound support with predictable absorption and minimal tissue reaction.

This USP 4-0 undyed suture is supplied in a 75 cm length and is armed with a single-armed 17 mm Tapercut needle featuring a 5/8 circle curvature. The Tapercut needle combines cutting efficiency with tapered geometry, making it suitable for controlled penetration and accurate placement in deeper or restricted operative sites where increased curvature improves access.

VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in gradual, predictable loss of tensile strength as healing progresses. The braided construction ensures excellent handling and secure knot performance. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 12 for professional surgical environments.
