Ethicon VICRYL is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910, providing dependable wound support with predictable absorption and minimal tissue reaction.

This USP 1 violet suture is supplied in a 70 cm length and is armed with a single-armed 40 mm Taper Point needle featuring a 5/8 circle curvature. The increased curvature and needle length allow enhanced access, control and precision when working in deep or confined operative sites, supporting smooth penetration and accurate placement during soft tissue and subcutaneous closure.

VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in gradual and predictable loss of tensile strength as healing progresses.
