Ethicon VICRYL is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910, designed to deliver dependable wound support with predictable absorption characteristics and minimal tissue reaction.

This USP 2 violet suture is supplied in a 45 cm length in an unarmed configuration, allowing clinicians to select an appropriate needle separately or use the suture for ligation, tying and soft tissue approximation where a needle is not required.

VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in gradual and predictable loss of tensile strength as healing progresses.
