Ethicon VICRYL is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910, designed to provide dependable wound support with predictable absorption and minimal tissue reaction.

This USP 1 violet suture is supplied in a 45 cm length and is armed with a single-armed 48 mm Taper Point Plus needle with a 1/2 circle curvature. The Taper Point Plus needle offers enhanced strength and stability with smooth tissue penetration, supporting controlled placement and reduced trauma during soft tissue and subcutaneous closure.

VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in gradual and predictable loss of tensile strength as healing progresses.
