Ethicon - VICRYL Polyglactin 910 Braided Absorbable Surgical Suture

Ethicon VICRYL is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910, designed to provide dependable wound support with predictable absorption and minimal tissue reaction.

This USP 1 violet suture is supplied in a 70 cm length and is armed with a single-armed 36 mm Taper Point needle with a 5/8 circle curvature. The increased curvature allows improved access and control in deep or confined operative sites, supporting smooth tissue penetration and accurate suture placement during soft tissue and subcutaneous closure.

VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in gradual and predictable loss of tensile strength as healing progresses. The braided construction ensures excellent handling and secure knot performance. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 36 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
