Ethicon VICRYL RAPIDE is a sterile, synthetic, rapidly absorbable braided surgical suture composed of polyglactin 910 and processed to accelerate absorption, providing short-term wound support during the early phases of healing.

This USP 3-0 undyed suture is supplied in a 70 cm (27 inch) length and is armed with a single-armed V-7 taper point needle measuring 20 mm with a 1/2 circle curvature, designed to provide smooth, atraumatic penetration for superficial soft tissue closure.

VICRYL RAPIDE sutures are absorbed more rapidly than standard VICRYL by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and reduced need for suture removal in appropriate cases. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 36 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
