Ethicon COATED VICRYL® PLUS is a sterile, synthetic, absorbable surgical suture composed of polyglactin 910 and coated with the antibacterial agent triclosan to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, helping reduce the risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 4-0 undyed suture is supplied in a 45 cm (18 inch) length and is armed with a single-armed PC-5 MULTIPASS® conventional cutting needle measuring 19 mm with a 3/8 circle curvature, designed to deliver sharp, controlled penetration with enhanced durability for repeated tissue passes.

COATED VICRYL® PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis within approximately 56–70 days, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single-use and supplied in boxes of 12 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
