Ethicon COATED VICRYL is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated to enhance handling, knot security and smooth tissue glide during delicate soft tissue approximation procedures.

This USP 5-0 undyed suture is supplied in a 45 cm (18 inch) length and is armed with double-armed S-14 taper point needles measuring 13 mm with a 3/8 circle curvature, designed to provide precise, atraumatic penetration for fine soft tissue and microsurgical closure.

COATED VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 12 for professional hospital and specialist surgical environments.
