Ethicon MONOCRYL PLUS is a synthetic absorbable monofilament surgical suture manufactured from poliglecaprone 25 and coated with triclosan to inhibit bacterial colonisation along the suture line.

This USP 3-0 suture is supplied in a 70 cm length and features a violet monofilament construction for excellent visibility during placement. It is double-armed with two Taperpoint Plus needles measuring 26 mm, each with a 1/2 circle curvature, allowing efficient bidirectional suturing with smooth, atraumatic tissue passage and precise needle control.

MONOCRYL PLUS sutures provide predictable tensile strength retention followed by reliable absorption, making them suitable for tissues requiring short-term wound support. They elicit minimal tissue reaction while maintaining excellent handling and knot security. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 12 for professional surgical environments.
