Ethicon MONOCRYL is a synthetic absorbable monofilament surgical suture manufactured from poliglecaprone 25, engineered to deliver predictable absorption and dependable short-term wound support with minimal tissue reaction.

This USP 1 suture is supplied in a 90 cm length and features a violet monofilament construction for improved intraoperative visibility. It is armed with a single blunt point needle measuring 65 mm with a 3/8 circle curvature, designed to separate tissue fibres rather than cut them, reducing the risk of accidental needlestick injury.
