Ethicon MONOCRYL is a synthetic absorbable monofilament surgical suture manufactured from poliglecaprone 25, designed to provide predictable absorption and reliable short-term wound support.

This USP 2-0 suture is supplied in a 70 cm length and features a violet monofilament construction to enhance intraoperative visibility. It is armed with two taperpoint needles, each measuring 26 mm with a 5/8 circle curvature, allowing simultaneous suturing from both ends and atraumatic passage through soft tissue.

MONOCRYL sutures offer excellent handling, smooth tissue passage and secure knot performance while eliciting minimal tissue reaction. They are suitable for tissues requiring short-term support during healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 36 for professional surgical environments.
