Ethicon VICRYL is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated to enhance handling performance and reduce tissue drag during passage.

This USP 4-0 violet suture is supplied in a 75 cm length and is armed with a single-armed 22 mm Taper Point needle with a fish hook configuration. The fish hook needle design allows secure engagement and controlled access during suturing, supporting precise placement and reliable handling in soft tissue approximation.

VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, providing gradual and predictable loss of tensile strength as healing progresses while minimising tissue reaction. The braided construction ensures excellent handling and dependable knot security. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 12 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
