Ethicon VICRYL is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated to enhance handling characteristics while minimising tissue drag during placement.

This USP 5-0 violet suture is supplied in a 45 cm length and is double-armed with two 8 mm reverse spatula needles featuring a 1/2 circle curvature. The reverse spatula needle profile is specifically designed for controlled passage through delicate, layered tissues, allowing precise dissection and accurate suture placement with minimal trauma.

VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, delivering predictable and gradual loss of tensile strength as healing progresses while maintaining reliable wound support.
