Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated with the antibacterial agent triclosan to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, helping reduce the risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 4-0 violet suture is supplied in a 27 inch (68 cm) length and is armed with a single-armed TF PLUS needle. The TF PLUS taper-fine needle is designed for atraumatic passage through delicate soft tissues, offering enhanced control, minimal tissue trauma and accurate placement during fine closure procedures.

VICRYL PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 36 for professional hospital and surgical environments.
