Ethicon VICRYL PLUS is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910 and coated with the antibacterial agent triclosan to inhibit bacterial colonisation of the suture surface, helping reduce the risk of surgical site infection.

This USP 3-0 undyed configuration is supplied as 8 strands of 18 inch (45 cm) sutures and is armed with a single-armed SH PLUS CR needle. The SH PLUS CR taper-cut needle provides controlled penetration with enhanced cutting efficiency, supporting accurate placement and reliable handling during soft tissue and specialised surgical closure.

VICRYL PLUS sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in minimal tissue reaction and predictable tensile strength retention during early wound healing. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 24 for professional hospital and surgical environments.
