Ethicon VICRYL is a synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture manufactured from polyglactin 910, providing dependable wound support with predictable absorption and minimal tissue reaction.

This USP 0 violet suture is supplied in an extended 110 cm length and is armed with a single-armed 24 mm Tapercut needle featuring a composite curve. The Tapercut needle combines a tapered body with a cutting tip to facilitate controlled penetration, while the composite curve enhances access and manoeuvrability in anatomically challenging or deep operative sites.

VICRYL sutures are absorbed by hydrolysis, resulting in gradual and predictable loss of tensile strength as healing progresses. The braided construction ensures excellent handling and secure knot performance. Each suture is sterile, single use and supplied in boxes of 12 for professional hospital and clinical environments.
